LUTHERVILLE, MD -- Capricor, Inc., a company formed to further develop cardiac stem cell research licensed from Johns Hopkins has raised $4 million from angel investors.
The company, run by CEO Linda Marban, hopes to raise an additional $2 million in the current round to continue to develop the therapy that her husband, Dr. Eduardo Marban, is researching at Johns Hopkins.
The research group is currently testing stem cell therapies on large animals, after having successfully tested them on mice.
